Recordings of Meetings

- 1. Apologies for absence
Members are asked to receive apologies for absence for this meeting.
- 2. Chairman's Welcome
The Chairman will welcome Councillors and residents to the meeting and give a fire safety announcement.
- 3. Declaration of Interests
Members are asked to receive declarations of interest under consideration on this agenda in accordance with the Local Government Act 2000 Part III and The Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary Interests) Regulations 2012. Members are reminded that should you declare a pecuniary interest at the meeting it is your responsibility to inform the Monitoring Officer.
- 4. Councillor Vacancies
Members are asked to consider the applications to join the Parish Council and co-opt new Members to the Parish Council for Barkestone and Plungar.
Co-opted Councillors will be asked to sign their Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
- 5. Public Questions
Members of the public are advised that they are welcome to ask questions about items on the agenda or matters about the parish itself. It is not always possible to give a verbal response at the meeting and questions may receive a written reply. No resolution can be made under this item.
Questions should relate to matter of Parish Council policy or practice and not relate to the individual affairs of wither the questioner or any other named person.

Members are asked to confirm the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on Thursday 20th March 2025 and the resolutions contained therein.

Members are asked to note and consider the following:

There were no planning applications for consideration as at the time of writing the agenda.

Discharge of condition 7 of 20/00182/FUL – Plant, Fencing and Landscaping details on substation area.

- 9. Report from Principal Council Councillors
Councillors will be asked to give a report on any meeting they have attended or any work that they have carried out on behalf of the Parish Council or in the area since the last Parish Council meeting.
- 10. Flooding
Members are asked to receive any updates.
11. Noisily 2025
Members are asked to note that a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order has been issued for
Barkestone, Barkestone Wood, Plungar and Redmile between 26th June 2025 and 21st July
2025. This is to allow Mandrake Events to safely facilitate The Noisily Festival.
- 12. Devolution
Members are asked to receive any update on the devolution agenda locally and discuss any element of the proposals. Melton Borough Council will be keeping the parishes updated on developments.
- Action Points
The members are asked to choose the next set of action points and note the updates on the
Current Action Points.
- 14. Parish Matters
Members are asked to receive updates on the following:
- Paddock Land
- Orchard Farm
- Green Farm Solar and road conditions including any replies
- Phone boxes in Plungar remedial work – the Parish Clerk has applied for a Listed Building Consent Form from Melton Council and will update Members at the meeting.
- Speed watch proposal to engage with the community – the Clerk has contacted various agencies about Speedwatch and has sent a reminder asking for a reply
- Street & Drain Clearing - the Parish Clerk has asked for a copy of the programme of works from Melton BC and will update Members at the meeting – not yet received
- Tree works in Redmile Churchyard – the Chairman will give an update
- 15. Reports from Parish Councillors
Councillors will be asked to give a report on any meeting they have attended or any work that they have carried out on behalf of the Parish Council since the last Parish Council meeting.
- 16. Vale Parishes Group Report
Members are asked to receive any updates and note any matters in relation to the Vale Parishes Group.
- 17. Report from the Interim Parish Clerk
The Locum Parish Clerk will update Members on her work since the last Parish Council meeting.
