A52 between Barrowby and Saxondale Roundabout
A 16 mile of the A52 will be closed overnight for seven weeks as safety improvements are carried out. Safety and maintenance works will start on the A52 at Bottesford on Tuesday 25th February until mid-April 2025.
The road will be closed in both directions between Saxondale and Barrowby from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., Monday to Friday. A diversion route is available in both directions via the A46 and A1 Newark.... Read More »

Roger Smith
The family are saddened to report the death of Roger Smith, who passed away suddenly but peacefully on Friday 19th October.
Barkestone, Plungar and Redmile Parish Council would like to extend their condolences to Roger's family and to acknowledge Roger's longstanding contributions to the Parish Council and the wider community.
He will be greatly missed.

Barkestone Bridge Closure (LCC Ref: ST0975)
Leicestershire County Council are planning to close Barkestone Bridge which is located on an unnamed track over the disused Grantham Canal.
